Ollie the Octopus' Undersea Adventure!
Ollie the Octopus has gotten bored sitting around in the same old waters off the coast of Hawaii. Although a tropical and relaxing getaway for most, Ollie is in search of new adventures and explorations. After reading about the mythological undersea kingdoms of Atlantis, Mermaid Lagoon, Neptune's Reef, and the Bermuda Triangle he decided to confirm the existence of these magical worlds. And to prove that he reached each "mythical" location he promised to send a postcard to all his friends from each destination! What he doesn't know is that there are dangers to be faced, new friends to be made, and magical kingdoms that he never could have imagined!

"The Sad Circle"
In a world of straight lines and squares sits the sad circle :(
Points of design taken into consideration:
1. Opposing negative and positive space, the blank framed green box opposing the blue circle
2. The balance of the red: since this hue is vibrant I had to balance the upper red square with the lower right checked red
3. I like balance, therefore I made the collage symmetrical to please my personal aesthetic
4. I felt I had to balance the use of patterns and solids so they would not compete, however if you look closely the solids have texture themselves, also aiding with the "balance"
5. Each box takes on a different character and feeling playing against the plain lonely circle...
